What the editor looks for

Stories: a moment on the water, a bit of local history, a character from the dock.
News: club news, regatta results, new members, and notices.
Events: what, when, and where, a month or more ahead.
Photos: sunsets, regattas, wildlife, and crews. Portrait photos print best.
Jokes, quiz questions, recipes, and tips: the lighter the better.

Not everything can go in, and pieces may be shortened to fit. If yours is chosen, the editor may reply with a question or two first.
